Catechetical Reflections on Social Justice |
|||||
Our Catholic community of Faith is blessed with many vital gifts. One is our commitment to faith formation in all of its facets. Another is our solid tradition of Catholic social teaching. “As we move into the new millennium, there is an urgent need to bring these two gifts together in a strengthened commitment to every level of Catholic education and formation.” (Introduction, Sharing Catholic Social Teaching: Challenges and Directions – Reflections of the U. S. Catholic Bishops.”) This series of articles presents an overview of each of the seven basic principles of Catholic social teaching, a reflection on the theme in light of needs of our day, and offers suggestions for practical applications of teaching social justice in the family and home. |
