CELEBRATION OF A YEAR WITH PAUL
(Advanced Course)

Four-night workshop:  September 22, 29, October 6, 20, 2008.
7:30 p.m.– 9:30 p.m. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Community Room.

Instructor: Father Patrick Griffin, C.M. Ph.d., St. John’s University.

Pope Benedict’s decision to make June ‘08 till June ‘09 a “Pauline Year on the 2000th anniversary of his birth is a great gift for the Church.  One cannot easily exaggerate the importance of this great apostle and missionary for the New Testament or the Early Christian Community.  His passion and compassion emerge in every word of his letters, and, just as he had a message for those first Christians, he also has a message for us.  During the days of this workshop, we will be especially attentive to four Pauline themes:  Conversion, the Cross, Community, and the Spirit.  We will strive to come to know the man who came to know the Risen Lord, and we will pray that his fidelity and wisdom and conviction might also be ours. Course fee: $25.00. All are welcome. Advance registration is required. Please call (631) 757-6250 for further information.
